Feeling stuck? At a crossroads in your career or emotional life? We can all feel lost, unsure, ambivalent or unhappy at times. As an accredited counsellor, I can help you understand and manage whatever life throws at you. I can help you to understand yourself, build resilience and challenge you to identify painful beliefs and patterns that might be holding you back.  I believe that you have the strength not just to survive, but to truly thrive.

Welcome! I'm Liz and this is my private practice, ExeTherapy. I am based in Exeter, Devon. I love being with clients and seeing them grow and overcome their struggles. I primarily work in a person-centred way but I also like to include aspects of other approaches into my work where it might be useful, such as mindfulness, CBT, mindfulness techniques and attachment theory. I will listen with empathy in a non-judgemental way; building trust and supporting you whilst also challenging you. I won’t give you advice but I will help you to feel empowered to make your own choices and be the architect of your own life.

I help my clients break through the obstacles, patterns and limiting beliefs that might to be holding them back. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled.

I have worked with clients through a range of different issues: bereavement, low self-esteem, anxiety & depression, attachment issues, relationship struggles, pre and post divorce, stress, personal growth, and many more.  I offer both short term (usually 6 sessions) and long term counselling. It is really important that you find a counsellor that is a good fit for YOU, as the relationship you will build together is a huge component of the work.

I am a registered member of The National Counselling Society (MNCS NCS22-00030).

If you have any questions or if you are interested in working together, please get in touch.
